Wood treads & surface treatment

Natural oiled solid oak

Our natural oiled oak treads and handrails are made of high quality FSC®-certified wood and sealed with oil. The oil treatment highlights the structure of the oak and giving it a warm and darker colour to the wood. The oil protects the surface of the wood, emphasises the aesthetic qualities of the wood and ensures an excellent, natural finish. At the same time, the oil makes the wood more resistant to wear and staining. The oil is absorbed into the wood and creates a soft surface that feels natural and comfortable to climb, you can also see and feel the structure of the wood.

Oak is a strong and versatile wood species with a fine and natural structure that creates a beautiful life. All oak used for our treads and handrails is European oak from FSC® certified forestry.
