The modular staircase BASEL is ideal for anyone who wants a simple and flexible but high-quality, space-saving solution. The curved shape of the treads strikes a perfect balance between convenient design and minimal use of room space. The BASEL staircase comes with 11 to 15 treads for a maximum span of 360 cm but can easily be adapted to heights as low as 220 cm. If you are installing a staircase with 13 or more treads, we include a support pole which will ensure maximum safety and stability. The treads are made of FSC®-certified solid wood, the surface is very durable, scratch-resistant and easy to clean thanks to a semi-gloss varnish. The rise for each tread can be adjusted between 18.5 and 22.5 cm.
BASEL is easy to install module by module. At first glance, it might look like a regular straight flight staircase. Thanks to specially designed structural elements, however, each tread can be turned through up to 22.5 degrees to create a quarter-turn format. The banister is powder-coated in the same modern, semi-gloss colours as the structural elements, while the handrail is made of solid wood to match the treads. The banister is designed with five horizontal stainless-steel fillings (6 mm). Balusters are mounted on top of the treads to guarantee maximum flexibility and easy installation. The top elements of the balusters are made of powder-coated aluminium which combines a flexible, robust join and a premium finish.
The BASEL staircase is developed with a focus on design and quality and is therefore delivered with covers to hide all screws and assemblies. The result? A staircase with pure lines and a simple, elegant look. You can add the finishing touches (and boost safety) by fitting a landing banister at the top of your staircase. DOLLE landing banister STYLE6 matches the design of the staircase banister. All our staircases are supplied with a one-sided banister. You can further enhance the look and safety of your staircase by adding riser bars that can be fitted under the treads, these are available in the colour to match your staircase.
