Our treads and handrails are made of high quality FSC^®-certified solid wood treated with sealed oil. The oil is absorbed into the wood and creates a smooth and almost silky surface where you can see and feel the structure of wood. This process also offers protection to the wood against water and wear.

CHOOSE YOUR BANISTER

You can choose the banister style for your HAMBURG staircase, you have 4 different options:

• DESIGN, complete with horizontal fillings Ø10 mm
• STYLE 6, complete with horizontal fillings Ø6 mm 
• CLASSIC 2, for 2 vertical balusters per tread
• CLASSIC 3, for 3 vertical balusters per tread

The DESIGN banister offers wider infills where the SHAPE 6 offers a more minimalistic design.

We offer two vertical balusters options, Classic 2 or Classic 3. With the Classic two you get a feeling of space throughout the staircase and a more minimalistic feel, the distance between balustrades is 17 cm. The Classic 3 is ideal if you are looking to use your staircase for primary access as the distance between the banisters is only 7.2 cm with UK building regulations requirement for a minimum of 10 cm. The more banisters the safer the staircase, you also have the option to add riser bars to close the gap between the treads.  

The banisters are high quality and strong as you need to feel comfortable when climbing the staircase.  They are mounted on the outside of the treads leaving as much space on the step as possible, this again aid the feeling for comfort when climbing the staircase.
